Actually, all those things might be true and it’s still a good idea to hire someone. If I can hire someone who is 80% as good as me at something, but I’m not the one doing it anymore, then that’s actually a valid hire. So if you want to do everything yourself, you certainly can, you are just going to constrain yourself to a certain limit that you will never be able to get past. Eventually we all run out of bandwidth.
What had to happen in order for you to make that switch?
In the early days it would have been 400, 500 articles deep on the blog, I could not write one more. Same with editing, I was never going to be a world class editor. So it was time to get one and I have never looked back since.
Truth is there are people out there that can do things better than you.
And the truth is I almost want to say that business builders don’t do anything one thing better than anyone else in the world except for that exact skill of running that business. They are not specifically better at one particular skill set.
